Patricia Martin

Patricia Faye East Martin, 82 of Springville, Al went home to be with her Savior on June 29, 2025. Lovingly known as “Mimi” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Faye was born on December 28, 1942. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Paul Earl Martin, sons Jeff (Amy) Martin and Scott Martin, daughter Paige (Troy) Hudgins, brother Lloyd (Carol) East, grandchildren Josh Journey, Kyle (Pam) Martin, Ty (Abby) Martin, Maggie Martin, Jeremiah Hughes, and Steven (Meredith) Barkley, great grandchildren Kaitlyn Holt, Carson Higgins, Jace Martin, Sailor Martin, Easton Martin, Avett Martin, Asa Martin, Austyn Martin, Nevaeh Barkley, Jordyn Barkley, and a host of nieces and nephews. Faye was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Flossie East, brothers Orville East, Gene (Janice) East, James East, sisters Helen Wood and Joyce (Raymond) Miller, and great grandson Aydin Higgins.

Faye was a resident of Springville since 1975. She was a very social and outgoing person and had many friends. Faye was an avid softball player and coached girls softball as well. She spent many summers at Springville Sports Complex either playing, coaching, or working in the concession stand. Anyone who spent time at the ballfields in the 70’s and 80’s was sure to recognize her. Faye was a hairdresser for over 50 years. Faye’s Beauty Shop was a staple in Springville and over the years she cut and styled the hair of many residents in town.

Faye’s greatest joy was her family. She was at her happiest when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds from 1:00-2:00. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 2:00. There will be a procession to Springville Cemetery following the service.
