R. W. Jackson passed on October 3, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on April 24, 1949, R.W. lived in Ashville, Alabama and was preceded in death by his parents,Bert Lee and Delta Lee Jackson, brother and sister, Larry Jackson and Barbara Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Smitherman (Mike), grandchildren, Breanna Barber and Lucas Barber, sisters, Cathy Trout (Dale), Elaine Shinn(Charles) and brothers, Michael Jackson (Diane) and Dennis Jackson. Services will be held Wednesday October 7, 2026 at Kilgroe Funeral Home at 2:00. Visitation will be Wednesday October 7, 2026 from 1-2. Burial will be Friday October 9, 2027 at Alabama National Cemetery at 11:45 AM
