Raelynn Ann Hogeland passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2026, at the age of 5. Raelynn was born to Joel and Erin Hogeland on October 24, 2020. From her first moments, Rae-Rae was an angelic soul who brought joy to others. She enjoyed every second she had with her mama, and she loved it when her father sang to her the song he made up for her when she was a baby. She especially loved her twin sister and her baby brother, her cousins, and her pets. She thrived on chaos and delighted in loud, happy music and being "surprised" by family members. Her loved ones remember the way her beautiful smile could light up a room.
Though she faced many challenges that few people have encountered, Raelynn took them on headfirst with resilience and courage. She met every day with cheerful bravery and inspired others to do the same. Raelynn was the true definition of what inclusion looks like. She was born to stand out and reveal a love that no one else could.
Our family was not expecting the loss of Raelynn or for her life to be so short. We are devastated by her passing yet thankful for the time we enjoyed with her in our lives. We remember Matthew 19:14: "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."
We are comforted knowing that Raelynn is now resting peacefully with loved ones already passed: Margaret and Dave Evans; William Smith; David Smith; and Jimmie Smith; Rebecca Parker and Kenny Wayne; Jo Parker; Grant Hogeland; and Carolyn Keck. Raelynn will always be remembered by her parents, Joel and Erin; her twin sister, Renlee; her brother, Frasier; her grandparents, Dennis and Valerie Underwood, Beth Smith, and Karen Hogeland and her husband Mike; her aunts and uncles, Crystal and Kenneth Potts; Dave and Stephanie Evan her aunts Bonnie Spooner and Emily Fuller; her uncle, Richard Smith; her cousins, Braylee, Bentley, Easton, Blakeley, K.J., Aleigha; Quade and Josiah and extended family members who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds from 12:00PM until 1:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds beginning at 1:00PM with burial to follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
