Ralph King age 67 of Moody passed away October 8, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Becky King. Sons: Zachary King and Seth King. Grandson: Jacob King and Brother: Joe King. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 12, 2019 at 1:00 from Kilgroe Funeral Home –Leeds with burial in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday October 12, 2019 from 12-1 at Kilgroe Funeral Home – Leeds. A loving husband, inspirational father, and devoted grandfather. Ralph was a gifted musician, bringing people happily together with his once in a lifetime talent of touching piano keys. Ralph was also a die hard New York Yankee fan with an adventurous passion led by the wheels of a Harley Davidson. If you knew Ralph King you would have already laughed reading this at one of his jokes he told you in the past or his famous “how you doin” entry into any social setting. Ralph left us knowing he put many smiles on faces he knew and more importantly the faces he didn’t know. Ralph will forever be in the heart of his family and friends.

“But tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet. Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day. And head back toward the Milky Way?” (Drops of Jupiter - Train)

Ralph was one of my dearest friends and could make me laugh like no other. He was responsible for introducing me and inviting me into the band Legal Tender, and I loved playing music with him. His love for his family stood above all, and he made a point of making that known to all. Last time I saw him, it was a surprise visit to JT Roberts. He was happily seated at his "keyboard condo" as he called it, but jumped at the opportunity to give me one of his famous hugs. My memories of our times together are so wonderful and I will miss him dearly. Becky, Zach and Seth, my prayers are for your peace of mind and comfort in such a difficult and sad time.

Love to you all,
John Farrell

Ralph was a dear friend and brother. We worked and lived together for several years. He was a kind fun loving man who would help anyone he could. Making music together was one of the treasured memories of my life. He will be missed. But I thank God that we have the hope of eternal life in Christ and that we will see him again. Godspeed my friend!

For my sweet friend Becky, it was love at first sight and the tiny dancer DID marry her music man. Thanks to our sweet Father, the love and the music will live on forever. Until that time you see each other again, may He wrap his loving arms around you and your family and give you peace and comfort.

When DeWayne and I would go dancing, Ralph always made sure to come and say hello. I always liked dancing close to the band so that I could smile at him. You will be missed and now you and DeWayne can talk about music.

Fly High my friend!

Ralph and I worked together at Riders Harley Davidson in Trussville. Ralph was such a great guy with a great sense of humor and would do anything in the world to help someone if they needed it. We had a lot of good times together over the years and I had lost touch with him over the past few years.. Ralph, I will miss you my friend. I will always remember you and the joy you brought. I am glad I could call you my friend.
