Richard Lamar Vann, age 48, of Springville, Alabama, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 31, 2025. He is proceeded in death by his father, Frank Lamar Vann and uncle, Charles “Uncle Nick” Vann. Mr. Vann is survived by his wife, Melissa Glidewell Vann; daughters, Emmalee Vann and Anna Vann; mother, Peggy Vann; and sister, Leeann Vann. He was a graduate of Springville High School and Auburn University. Mr. Vann was a teacher at Moody High School in Moody, Alabama and currently a teacher of Agri Science at Springville High School in Springville, Alabama. He was also the proud owner of Vann Family Farm. Services for Mr. Vann will be on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Kilgroe Funeral Home 1750 Ashville Road Leeds, Alabama 35094. The visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:30 PM. There will be a service in the chapel beginning at 2:30 PM. Services directed by Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds, Alabama.
