Ricky Lane Whitfield

Ricky Lane Whitfield, age 71, of Leeds, Alabama passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024. Ricky was born in Leeds and was raised in Dunnavant until the family moved Harpersville. He moved back to Leeds at 17 and started work at the telephone company where he remained for 36 years and was also a member of the Leeds volunteer fire department. He and his wife Tissa were marred for 46 years. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends especially his grandkids. He was a loving husband, father , grandparent and will be missed by many. He is preceded in death by his mother and step father, Elevenia and Charles Crowson. Ricky is survived by his wife of 46 years, Tissa Whitfield; son, Rusty Whitfield (April); grandchildren, Brooklyn and Landon Whitfield. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Kilgroe Funeral Home from 12:00PM until 1:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Kilgroe Funeral Home beginning at 1:00PM with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
