Rita A Jemison

Rita was the beloved daughter of Robert L Parker and Evelyn Parker, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her Husband, Gerald Jemison of 47 years, her three daughters, Heather Hemmelgarn, (Scott), Nicole Brasher (Carl) and Brandy Stewart (Austin). She also leaves behind five grandchildren, (Todd, Morgan, Chase, Aubrey, and Hailey) one great-grandchild (Silas), and her two sisters, Alicia Parker (Larry) and Vanessa Parker, as well as numerous extended family members.

Rita’s legacy is one of faith and family. So, if you were a friend, you quickly became that extended family, and if you were a friend to her daughters, you were quickly considered one of her children. Rita touched the lives of many with her loving and generous spirit. She found joy in giving gifts to others and her spirit will live on in the beautiful ceramic pieces that she gave as well as her scrapbooking, all reflecting her patience, talent, and care for others.

A celebration of Rita’s life will be held on Saturday, August 1st, at Kilgore Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., with the Memorial service beginning at 11:00 A.M.
