Mr. Sumner was preceded in death by his father, Henry Sumner and brothers, Carl Sumner and Tommy Sumner.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Sumner, son, Johnny Nix, daughters, Cathy (Ricky) Melvin, Lorine (Billy) Sloan, Pam (Frank) Yates, Tonya Sumner, Pam Sumner Young, Mother, Anita Sumner, brothers, Donald (Brenda) Sumner, Frankie Sumner, 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 9 PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with burial at Liberty Cemetery in Odenville.
