Rodney is preceded in death by his parents James "Jim" Shadowens and Ada Shadowens Franklin and Bobby Franklin and brother Charles "Charlie" Shadowens.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathy Eason Shadowens, son Chris Joiner (Annie), grandchildren; Caysen and Cayleigh Joiner, Mom #2 Norma Shadowens, brothers; Tommy Franklin (Jessie), George Kutz Jr and Jeffery Shadowens (Jody). Sisters; Dawn Richter (Andy), Tami Lanigan (Julian) and Geneva Rodriguez (Johnny) and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds will be held on July 13, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral at Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds on July 13, 2026, at 11:00 am, with burial at in Dunnavant Community Cemetery.
