

Ronda Lee Washington, born on August 13, 1948, passed away in her home in Whites Chapel Alabama with family on January 22, 2026. Ronda was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Geneveive Washington, her brothers John Washington and Noel Washington and her sisters Peggy O’Barr and Nora Treece. She is survived by her brother Curtis Washington and 9 nieces and nephews, many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Ronda worked for more than 30 years at Winn Dixie in their Leeds locations as well as the Chalkville location. She was a member of Happy Home Baptist Church where she and her sister Nora taught Sunday School for more than 10 years. They shared a favorite scripture, Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Ronda was known for her outgoing personality and her ability to befriend everyone she met. She made each person feel special with every interaction she had. She touched the lives of those she worked with, her church family and her family. She left her family with memories they will cherish as she sits in the house of her lord and savior.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday January 30, 2026 at 12:00 Noon from Forest Crest Cemetery.
