Ruby Dye

Ruby Jewell Dye. On hospice for less than two weeks, Ruby took her last breath as her two daughters sat by her bedside holding her hands on the morning of February 20, 2013 in her Moody, AL home. She was born in Hattiesburg, MS, December 8, 1949 to the late Hazel L. Simmons and Valder Dye. She is survived by her children, Summer Dawn Neldner-Scott and Angela Michelle Davidson of Birmingham, AL, step-children, Bobby Neldner of Laughlin, NV and Cynthia Anderson of Shreveport, LA and granddaughters, Morgan and Jessica Davidson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Cody Lee Alwerdt, brother, John Paul Dye and sister, Marie Odom. She is survived by her siblings, Dorothy Perrien, Edward Dye, Gary Knotts and Harris Dye. Family and friends are invited to join her family in a Memorial Tribute to be held at the Varnadore Home near the old Dye Homestead from 1:30-3:30 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2013 and a Graveside Service at the Dye Family Cemetery at 4 pm.
