The stories and antics of Wayne are many, he was a mans man, rough and tough and liked to fight. He was a sweet caring father and husband. But most of all he was a big hearted friend to everyone… and I mean every single soul he ever came in contact with. He poured his heart into making others smile and laugh and we see that as today we remember the legacy of The Man, The Myth… . THE LEGEND.

I ask all of you to please be happy today, while he has gone far too soon he is now able to spread his wings much further and cover us all with his love and his Infectious sense of humor. Please share a memory with us, hug us, and pray for us. My brother has many people who will miss him greatly and it is in these times that we must support one another so that we dont tarnish the amazing life of happiness he has lived.

Thank you all for your prayers.

Wayne Benson was one of a kind, With his over the top personality , and his crazy antics. He always put a smile on everyone's face when they met him. He was a talented musician that could sing with the best of them. I will always remember many great memories with Wayne. From going camping , concerts, or just hanging at the house. There are a life time of memories I could share about you pal. You were a friends friend, and had away about you that could make me laugh even if I didn't want to. One of my all time favorite memories will always be laughing until we cried at Cobb's Cabin on the mountain, or Jeremy and you just yelling "Todd" every time we were together. Oh, and I will never forget the special song you wrote for our dog Joplin - solid gold for sure. I will forever be grateful knowing that I got to call you friend. I adored you and will hold your memory close to my heart until I see you again. Rest easy pal

What a great guy, I have years and years of memories with Wayne. It did not matter if we saw each other every day or every other year we were always the same . Wayne had a way about him, he could make you smile an laugh for days. I respected him as a man, father and husband. He loved his wife and family he always put them first. Wayne was a great example of how men should be toward there loved ones, friends an community. He will be missed greatly by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Many great memories with Wayne! My favorite is an old one, when he would play Reveille as we got ready for football practice and he was headed for band practice.
Another is when we would hang out at his house off George Crow Rd. I was so amazed at his musical talent as he sang and played the piano.

So many memories, good times, and talks it's hard to choose just one. What I will miss the most about you is knowing I had a friend who genuinely loved me, and always had my back. I keep thinking about our last text checking up on one another, laughing about getting older, and saying we would see each other soon. I wish I had a video of the last time we sang "Cruise With Me" at Bobby's, and of you singing "I Believe". You really had a great voice, and would sing that song perfectly. I will miss how you would out of nowhere break out a crazy dance move, belt out a line of a song, then say Pai-Yow. You were the best wingman a girl could ask for. I miss, and love you dearly. RIP my friend ❤

Wayne always made me laugh... always. He loved to come up behind everyone and hang on their shoulder and just listen to their conversation like he was always invited :) He was fearless and never scared to do anything!! He always had a running joke in school that he couldn’t talk to me because I was “Greg’s gal” after I wore Greg’s jacket one day. I saw him not too long ago and he showed me pictures of Willa and bragged about her. He hugged my neck and told me he was proud of me for beating cancer and then said he better go because he can’t get caught talking to “Greg’s gal” too long bc he’ll get in trouble. I loved that he remembered that ❤️
Heaven holds 2 of the funniest guys I’ll ever know. Wayne will be missed but always remembered.

I’ve tried to recall the happiest I ever saw you... but I can’t because you were always happy! From the first day I meet you... you took me in as a friend and a sister. Your heart is as big as your personality and your smile lights up a room!!!! When you love someone you... you love them with your whole being!!! No matter where we were if you saw me I got a hug and one of those brilliant smiles!!! To say you will be missed is an understatement... until we meet again my dear friend...
