Tracy Hubbard

Will was born on December 21, 1955, in Gadsden, Alabama, to Tracy B. Hubbard and Lola Mae Hopkins Hubbard. He grew up in Odenville and later built a life there with his wife, Frankie Jackson.

He worked as a truck driver for over 45 years, known for his hard work, loyalty, and the pride he took in every mile on the road. Beyond driving 18-wheelers, Will had a deep love for motorcycles and the open road. When he wasn’t working, he could usually be found on his Harley-Davidson or his Indian. He spent many years in the motorcycle world and was a brother to countless riders who knew and loved him.

Will also served a short stint in the United States Army as part of the 101st Airborne Division, a chapter of his life he carried with quite pride. In recent years, his health has allowed him to travel and watch his grandsons, Derek Hopper and Jacob Hubbard, graduate from their military training – Jacob from the United States Marine Corps and Derek from the Army National Guard. Their service meant the world to him, and he would beam with pride when talking about them.

Family was central to Will’s life. His later years allowed him to be home more, and he always enjoyed spending time with them. He is survived by his wife, Frankie Jackson; his children - Melissa (Shane) Craig, Heath Hubbard, Keith Hubbard, Wayne Jackson, and Shanda Jackson. 7 Grandchildren - Derek (Alyssa) Hopper, Jacob Hubbard, Jaye Williams, Bree Jackson, Shamus Jackson, Mali Meade, and Brindlee Bedell. 5 Great-grandchildren – Beckett Hopper, Colson Hopper, Jackson Meade, Bailey Wilkes, and Holden Williams. Siblings – Kathleen (Ronnie) Madden, Tammy Defoor, Linda Kirby, and Kim Martin; Brothers and Sisters-in-law - Allen (Norma) Lee, Mary (George) Walden, and Becky Lee.

He is preceded in death by his parents Tracy B. Hubbard, Lola Mae Hopkins Hubbard, and Reba Hubbard; siblings – Martin “Pete” Defoor, and sisters-in-law – Kathy Defoor, Janet King, and Edna Lee.

Will, will be remembered for his love of the open road, his devotion to family, and the countless friendships he built along the way.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday July 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds, Alabama with a visitation to be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
