Virgil Winslett age 57, passed away on Tuesday December 1, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Winslett; daughter, Allie Winslett; sons, David (Amber) Winslett and Jon’Evan Winslett; father, Virgil Winslett Sr.; brother, Wayne (Christina) Winslett; grandchildren, Katie Winslett and Charley Winslett. A visitation will be held on Sunday December 6, 2020 from 1:00-2:30PM from Cross Point Baptist Church with a service to follow at 2:30PM. Burial will be at Cossa Valley Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Pell City High School in 1981. He graduated from UAB with a Masters Degree, EDS and Administrative Degree. He taught at Moody Middle School and was a principal at Springville Middle School and Springville High School. He was forced into retirement October 2020 due to his decling health from cancer. He was a member of Cross Point Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Springville High School Virgil Winslett Scholarship Fund.
