
Mr. Gurley was a Shriner as well as a WWII Veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved gardening. Mr. Gurley was a retired truck driver having logged more than 4 million miles during his 30 years. Mr. Gurley was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ellie Gurley and brother, Allen Gurley; wife, Pauline Isbel Gurley, daughter, Doris Wooten, his previous wife, Beatrice Smith Gurley and step son Robert Yeager.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Gurley Martin (Jim), Betty Nation, son, Billy Yeager (Lula), grandchildren, Andrea Martin, John Martin, Arthur Harding, great grandchildren, Kayla Harding and Devin Harding, his sister in law, Mary Gurley, numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 2 PM at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel with burial at Dunnavant Cemetery.
