To the Mckinnon Family,
I just recently heard of Mr Mckinnon's passing and I want to offer my heartfelt condolences to the entire family. I have know Mr. and Mrs. Mckinnon ever since I was a young boy coming to the "DrugStore" with my grandmother, the late Beulah Kirksey, I practically grew up in that store. Each Saturday we would make our pilgrimage to the Pharmacy and as always were greeted with a smile and joyous greeting upon entering the store. May the memory of Mr. Mckinnon live on and all that he contributed to the lives of those who had an opportunity to have met him. He was a great help to my family and so many others.

I was so saddened to hear Mr. McKinnon had passed away. A lot of times when I would be short on money he would tell me to pay him when I got paid. He was a good man and always made you feel like your needs were as important to him as they were to you. You were more than a number to him. People knew he truly cared that's why he kept his customers after big companies moved in the area. My condolences to his family.

40 Years ago I was a dirt poor kid who walked to the pharmacy every month to pick up my grandmother's medicine. Mr. McKinnon (and his sweet wife) was always kind and never once looked down on me. Not everyone saw thru the poverty and saw a person worth seeing back then. I will always remember him for his truly kind and generous nature. I moved away but stopped by the store years later and he remembered me like it was yesterday. My thoughts are with the family. Prayers for you in your sorrow.
