Winfred was a life member of the American Legion, and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Anne G Owens; son, Sam Owens (Brianna); daughter, Sarah Goodner (Zac); brother, Gerald Owens (Andrea); sister, Laura Bean (David).
Funeral services will be held Monday November 27th at 11am from Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds Chapel with burial in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. His family will receive friends Sunday November 26th at Kilgroe Funeral Home from 6pm until 8pm.
