

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years: Flynn Kay; parents: Lee and Rosella Montiville; sisters: Betty Taylor, Audrey McCullough, and Mary Alice Robertson. Those left to cherish the memory of Dorothy are, sons: Gary Kay and wife, Rhonda, of Dallas, TX and Danny Kay of Dallas, TX; daughters: Connie Kay of New Llano, LA, Mona Hardwick and husband, Rev. Rick Hardwick, of Lafayette, LA and daughter-in-law Donna Kay of Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Michelle Hernandez, Michael Kay, Trevor Hardwick and Tanner Hardwick; great-grandchildren: Alyssa Hernandez and Macie Hernandez; brothers: Joe Montiville and wife, Ilene, of Ozark, Arkansas; sister: Georgia Faye Hetrick and husband, Lewis, of New Llano, LA.
Dorothy is a lifelong resident of New Llano and leaves a loving legacy as a Mother. Her most cherished moments were spent with her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. She touched many, many lives with her gentle, sweet spirit. She spent the last 46 years of her life serving Christ and is now enjoying her new home in Heaven.
Services were held at the First United Pentecostal Church in Leesville on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 2PM with Pastor Mark Christian and Pastor John Burns officiating. Services were under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville, Louisiana. Interment followed in Pine Hill Cemetery, Leesville.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., and 7th fl., New York, NY 10001 or the Mother’s Memorial Fund, First United Penecostal Church of Leesville.
