Geraldine Haymon

Home Going services for Jessie Geraldine Cain Haymon, 90, of Raytown, MO., will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of Hicks United Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Doug Davis, Pastor Greg Mortensen and Pastor Dale Mortensen officiating. Burial will follow in the Hicks United Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville, LA, and will resume on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:00 until time of service at Hicks United Pentecostal Church.

Mrs. Haymon went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2017. She was born December 28, 1926 in Burr Ferry, LA to Jessie Luther Cain and Maggie Ann Harralson Cain and went to school in Evans, LA. Mrs. Haymon was a member of Leesville First United Pentecostal Church while living in Louisiana and Heart and Soul Ministries United Pentecostal Church while living in Missouri. She worked at Stanley’s grocery store as well as James Red & White grocery store, and Russell’s Gift Shop. Mrs. Haymon loved to read, work crossword puzzles in ink, quilt and travel. She loved helping others and was helping at the Leesville Senior Care Center at the age of 80. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Mrs. Haymon was preceded in death by her dear husband, Ivy Haymon; parents, Jessie Luther Cain and Maggie Ann Harralson Cain; sister, Martha C. Breidenthal.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Robert Lee Haymon of Tennessee, Ivy Andrew Haymon of Louisiana, two daughters, Vickie Davis of New York, Jessie Leann Neal of Missouri; brother, Thomas Luther Cain of California; sister, Mary C. Fudge of Texas; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
