Grady Kennedy

Mr. Grady Arnold Kennedy, 76, Burr Ferry, LA passed from this life on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Mr. Kennedy was born on June 21, 1940 in Leesville, LA to Grady Americas Kennedy and Viola Virdie Craft Kennedy. He was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church and retired from the Police Jury. He loved his family, community, and he will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Kennedy; parents, Grady Americas Kennedy and Viola Virdie Craft Kennedy; mother and father –in-law Artie and Travis Morrison; brother, Charles Kennedy; grandson, Brett Wade Miller.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Tammy Kennedy, Kristi Leger and husband, Patrick, Bryan Kennedy and wife, Janna, Amanda Patterson and husband, Jody, Andy Kennedy and wife, Kristie; sisters, Donice Smith Shaw, Abbie Mitcham, Charlene Jeane, Wanda Jordan; grandchildren, Laura Leger, Austin Leger, Ryan Rougeou, Brooke Patterson, Henry Kennedy, Alice Kennedy, Robyn Courmier, KK Courmier.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at Oak Grove Congregational Methodist Church in Burr Ferry, LA. Services will be held Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:00AM at Oak Grove Congregational Methodist Church with Brother George Jeane and Brother Brent Noble officiating. Burial will follow in Plunkaway Cemetery. Honoring Mr. Kennedy as pallbearers will be Jody Patterson, Patrick Leger, Mark Wittenhagen, Perry Odom, Jerrod Mitcham, Jimmy “Flap” Fleniken, Dennis Mitcham and honorary pallbearers are, William Mitcham, and Rodney Austin.
