Harry John Gallagher

Mr. Harry John Gallagher, 86, of Leesville, LA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 16, 2016. He was born on December 15, 1930, to Alvin C. Gallagher and Clara Lombardo Gallagher in Willimantic, CT. Mr. Gallagher was a retired SFC with the United States Army. He was of the Mormon faith and a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Gallagher loved his dogs almost more than he loved to read and work crossword puzzles. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Mr. Gallagher was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin C. Gallagher and Clara Lombardo Gallagher.

Those left to cherish his memory are one son, Mr. Thomas S. Gallagher and wife, Rita; one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Cole and husband, Bruce; one sister, Mrs. Claire Mae Porter; four grandchildren, Amanda Seavey and fiancé, Jason, Thomas Cole and wife, Ashton, Eric Gallagher and wife, Heather, Aaron Gallagher; six great-grandchildren, Gauge, Logan, Tristan, Laykin, Layla and Piper.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20, 2016, from 5:00 PM 9:00 PM at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville. Visitation will resume Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Leesville, LA. Services will be held at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will follow in Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in honor of Mr. Harry Gallagher to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Missionary fund or Lottie Moon Missionary Fund.
