Robert Lloyd Yarbrough

Services for Mr. Robert L. Yarbrough, Sr. will be held in the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home, Leesville on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Burial will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery, Leesville.

Mr. Robert L. Yarbrough, Sr., 88, of Leesville went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2017. He was born August 30, 1928 in Meeker, OK, to Henry and Mae Yarbrough. He served in the Navy in 1935. He also served and retired from the Army. He later retired from Angola State Prison as a guard. He was a licensed minister who loved the Lord, building others up and helping any one in need.

Mr. Yarbrough was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mae Yarbrough; two brothers, Buster Yarbrough, Donald Yarbrough; one sister, Bonnie Magby.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jewell Borders Yarbrough; and his first wife, Dorothy Williams. His children with her are one son, Robert Yarbrough, Jr. (Martha); two daughters, Kathy Booty (Daniel) and Khristy Martin (Calvin); six grandchildren, Greg Yarbrough, Jason Booty (Edith), Adam Williams (Emma), April Flora (Jesse), Joshua Martin, Jacob Martin and Adam Martin (Amy); eight great- grandchildren, Jordan Flora, Levi Flora, Ariana Flora, Michael Booty, Rhys Williams, Caden Williams, Callan Williams, and Rowan Williams; step- children, Thomas Garvin, James Garvin and Peggy McCuller.
