Ruby Jean Elliott

Ruby Jean Elliott 80, of Leesville, LA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 16, 2016. She was born October 4, 1936 to Willie and Margie Lee Behan. Jean has been a lifelong resident of the Leesville community. Ms. Elliott loved her family dearly. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church and loved going to church. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Ms. Elliott was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters; Sheloah Lynn Dorries, of Fort Worth TX, Cheryial Geuin McConnaughey and husband Michael, of Mansfield LA; one son, Douglas Elliott, of Leesville LA; one sister, May Alice Lavesphere, of Lumberton TX; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 5pm until 9 pm at Hixson Funeral Home, in Leesville, LA and will resume on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 11 am until the time of service. Funeral Services will be 1pm at the Funeral Home. Brother M.C. Green, Michael McConnaughey, and Brother Kenny Elliott will officiate. Internment will follow in Heritage Rowe Cemetery in Leesville, LA.
