
Joan Louise Amos age 82, of Lehigh Acres, FL, passed away on January 8, 2017. Joan held many roles in her life, beginning in her early 20’s with employment as a cashier at Lanes Drug Store and Kroger. Her independent spirit moved her to serving as a beauty consultant with Mary Kay Products and, later in life, as a sales consultant with Tupperware and Avon Products. The most influential of Joan’s roles was that of dedicated homemaker, committed and loving wife, and amazing mother to nine children. Joan was a member of the Red Hat Society. Her interests included sketching, embroidery, yarn crafting, and recipe collecting.
Joan is preceded in death by sibling, Richard Roslin; father, Joseph L. Roslin, Jr., mother, Martha Roslin, daughter-in-law, Connie F. (Bouldin); and son-in-law, William E. Tarvin. She is survived by her loving husband, Lowell P. (Arden) Amos; children, Karen L. Tarvin, Sharon M. (Gary) Bevington, Deborah S. (Dr. Thomas) Schramko, Bruce P. (Tami) Amos, Kevin E. Amos, Cindy L. Amos, Kristina M. (Marvin) Amos-Perry, Keith L. (Heike) Amos, and Darren N. (Lori) Amos; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
