
Tommy Lee Salters, Sr. age 89, of Orlando, FL formerly of Ft. Myers, FL passed away June 18, 2016. He was born on February 16, 1927 to his parents, Eddies Salters Sr. and Emma Davis-Salters who preceded him in death.
Tommy was a longtime member of Mt. Olive AME church and was affiliated with the American Legion, the Elks, and also served proudly in US Army during World War 2. He was a D.J. from time to time, nobody knew music like Mr. Nab.
Tommy was also preceded in death by his daughters, Glenda L. Hudson & Patricia J. Salters. He is survived by 1 daughter, Paula Salters –Benyard of Orlando, FL.; 3 sons, Tommy Salters Jr.(Sherri)of Ft. Myers, FL, Johnnie Salters (Catina) of Houston, TX, & Michael Salters Sr. of Ft. Myers, FL.; 5 grandchildren, Brandy Strong of Fort Myers, FL, Megan Salters of Houston, TX, Torri T. Benyard of Orlando, FL, Christopher Brooks of Orlando, FL, & Michael Salters Jr. of Fort Myers, FL; 11Great-grandchildren; Special Friends,Cecelia Watson & George Mayo ; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
A visitation will be held at Mount Olive AME Church, 2754 Orange St., Ft Myers, FL 33916 from 930am till 11am followed by the funeral service and military honors at the church. Repast immediately following the service at
