

Born to Anastacio and Teresa Nieto on August 10, 1927 in Sunnyside (Bonita), CA.
Preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings: Rosa, Victor, Romana Manuel, Matias, Margaret, Joe.
A Navy veteran of the closing days of World War II he met his bride, Nellie Garcia, seventy years ago at a bus stop in National City. They were married in October 23, 1948. Over the next 70 years Harry and Nellie had six children, Maria, Teresa, Alice, Frances, Basilio Jr. and Albert. While raising his family, Harry worked in Aerospace at Convair and as a Hog Rancher in Potrero and ultimately retired from David’s Produce in San Diego. He enjoyed being outside, creating topararies and raising canaries in his backyard.
Today this loving family has grown to include son in law James E. (Frances) Stone, III, grandson James E. (Tiffany) Stone, IV of Ft. Worth, Texas, granddaughter Melissa J. Stone of San Diego and grandsons David Nieto of Tucson, AZ and Joseph Nieto of Tucson, Az. and three great granddaughters Addyson Katherine Stone, Layla Deneen Nieto and Linda Michelle Nieto.
Harry had many nephews, nieces and grand nephews and nieces and many dear friends in his extended family whom he cared for deeply.
He touched many lives with his humor, wit and sense of honor and our lives have been enriched by our association with him.
Harry's life revolved around this wonderful family and he will be greatly missed.
