Carmen V. Gonzales

April 23 1927 – March 19, 2013

Carmen Gonzales, passed away March 19th at Victoria Special Care Center in El Cajon, CA. Carmen, mother to 7 children, was born in Phoenix, AZ and lived in California all of her adult life.

Carmen is survived by her daughters, Aggie Miranda (Gilbert), Magdalene Gonzales Robinson (Roy), Rose Marie Gonzales Edmond (Max) and son, Alex Gonzales (Emerita) all of San Diego; her daughter Amelia Donnell (Jim) of Williamsburg, Virginia, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gonzales and her daughters, Olivia Miller and Barbara Gonzales.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Santa Sophia Catholic Church in Spring Valley, CA on Thursday, April11th, Followed by Inurnment at Fort Roscrans National Cemetery.

Blessed are those who died in the Lord; let them rest from their labors for their good deeds go with them.

Eternal rest grant Carmen, O Lord.

Barbara Ann Gonzales-Dent

July, 21 1953 – March 10, 2013

Barbara Gonzales-Dent, passed away after a long and valiant fight with cancer. Barbara, a Casino Marketing Executive for New York New York Hotel and Casino, lived and worked in Las Vegas for over 20 years.

She grew up in California before relocating. Her generous heart and loving spirit touched us all.

Barbara is survived by her son Paul Gonzales (Meg), daughter Marie, sisters Aggie Miranda (Gilbert), Magdalene Gonzales Robinson (Roy), Rose Marie Gonzales Edmond (Max) and brother Alex Gonzales (Emerita) all of San Diego; Amelia Donnell (Jim) of Williamsburg, Virginia, two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Gonzales and her sister, Olivia Miller. Her mother, Carmen Gonzales passed away on March 19, 2013.

A memorial service was held at NYNY Hotel and Casino on Saturday, March 16th. Barbara’s ashes will be buried at sea in the Pacific Ocean, near her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to a fund that will be set up for her daughter, Marie Dent, who is a junior at Desert Oasis High School in Las Vegas.
