Charles R. Lyons

Charles Lyons passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday November 30th at the age of 89. He was surrounded by his loved ones that morning. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia and proudly served our country in the navy during World War II. Charles was an athlete and artist. He enjoyed running, weightlifting, hunting and painting.

From a very young age, Charles loved to ham it up for the camera. His sister Dolly would often tell him that he was ruining the family pictures. Charles taught his grandson Bobby and great grandsons Robert and Izaiah the famous “face” for the camera!

Charles leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years Bernice, daughters Debby, Laura and son Matthew (Noelle), grandson Bobby (Niomi) and great grandsons Robert and Izaiah. He is also survived by his sister Joan Busalacchi brother Hughie Lyons and many nieces and nephews.

Mass will be at 11:00A.M. Dec. 10th _ St. John of the Cross. Burial will follow at Miramar National Cemetery at 1:30.
