But Jesus called for them, saying, "Permit the Children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Luke 18:16 Cheryle Wendy Hu lived her life passionately seeking to bring little ones to Christ. She volunteered her time as a children's leader for Bible Study Fellowship for over twenty years. She also worked as a preschool teacher, sowing the seeds of truth to those tender little hearts. Another one of her memorable passions was her love of music. She sang in the church choir as well as using her talents during her teaching moments with the many children that passed through her classes. As her own children grew and began having families of their own she gave up her teaching career to be able to be free to travel in order to spend time with her grandchildren.
Cheryle was born in Buffalo, MN on January 13, 1954 to Jacob and Marian Oswald. Her early childhood was spent in the Midwest. In 1961, her family decided to move to Northern California and then eventually settled in San Diego two years later. Although she spent the majority of her life here in California she loved the Midwest and visited often. She enjoyed travelling all over the U.S. and even outside of the country. Her life was filled with joy and laughter and her bright smile will be sorely missed by those who knew her. She is survived by her husband Samuel Hu, mother Marian Oswald, sister Cyndi Morton, brother John Oswald, children Jason Voss, Joel Voss, and Elisa Pace, as well as her ten grandchildren Luke, Eliana, and Josiah Voss, Trevor, Benjamin, and Adalynn Voss, and Louis, Christian, Jacob, and Elliot Pace. She left this earth on July 17, 2016 and While her family wishes so much that they would have more time here with her, they rejoice in the knowledge that she is seated at the feet of her Heavenly Father resting in His perfect peace and love.
