Elizabeth Helena Fullerton

Born: September 10, 1921 Died: August 3, 2014

Elizabeth was born in San Diego and was the only child of William R Folcke and Laura Folcke.

A lifelong San Diegan and graduate of San Diego High. Elizabeth attended San Diego State College and affiliated with the Epsilon Pi Theta sorority remaining an active alum her entire life. December 2, 1942, Elizabeth married John R (Bob) Fullerton and shortly after Bob was drafted. During the war years Betty was able to be near locations all over the country where Bob was stationed. Together Elizabeth and Bob had 3 children, Diana, Bob and Susan. Their first child Diana, died of Polio in 1954. Elizabeth married in to a family with 7 children and enjoyed all her nieces, nephews, brother and sister in-laws and the all loved her. Elizabeth was predeceased by Bob in 2006, after celebrating 64 years of marriage.

Elizabeth and family resided in the College Area for 60 years, where she was an active homemaker, mom and grandmother. Her 2 grandsons brought her special joys. At home she enjoyed cooking and feeding the hungry family and friends. Her church, Rolondo United Methodist was special and many friendships were shared over 60 years of active membership. Elizabeth served as a volunteer for "Meals on Wheels " for 20 years.

Elizabeth enjoyed planning family vacations and during retirement explored different parts of the globe with family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, 11:00AM at Wesley United Methodist Church - 5380 El Cajon Blvd - San Diego, CA 92115 (Phone: 619-582-5303).
