I will never forget his calmness after limping his broken dune buggy back to camp after much time had passed...his daughter (Linda) was with me....we weren't married yet...Eric Paulson (son-in-law)...oh yes, the day before, another son-in-law crashed his dirt bike was a tough weekend, but we laughed about it for many years after that.

He did love his college football. I first met him in 1979, before picture in picture or any other quick ways to watch multiple games at the same time. He had two TV's going and a radio in his ear to keep up with the games.
