Madelyn Frances Payne Wilson was born on November 9, 1917 in Oswayo, PA, to Harry and Edna Payne. In 1920, she and her family drove across the country to settle in El Cajon, where her father had a grocery store. She met Roger C. Wilson at Hoover High School in San Diego, and they were married in 1938. A resident of Lemon Grove since 1956, she worked many years at the counter of the Grove Pastry Shop. She passed away peacefully on January 24, 2012, near her two daughters, Linda and Susan and their husbands Don and Philippe, four granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren. We will love you always.
