Marcie Macy passed away peacefully on January 20, 2016 embraced with love from her husband, children and grandchildren. A native San Diegan, she grew up in Point Loma, graduated from Point Loma High School and attended San Diego State University. Marcie moved to East County in 1961, and was very active in raising her three children. Involved in PTA, Red Cross Back Yard Swim and all of her children’s activities, her dinner table was always open to her children’s friends. She was an amazing woman with a beautiful smile and a zest for life. Starting her career later in life, she excelled as a top real estate agent with Coldwell Banker, which was her passion. Marcie loved her family and travelling to Hawaii which she and her husband had done every year for the last 9 years. Everyone that knew Marcie adored her personality and laughter. She will be missed by many.
Predeceased by her brother, Cy Hebert, she is survived by her husband of 60 years, Russ, children Rusty Macy (Sally), Katie Powers (Bryan) and Janie Ramer (Danny), five grandsons, Tyler, Ryan and Kyle Ramer, Trevor and Blake Powers, and brother, Richard Hebert.
Visitation will be on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at Conrad Mortuary (7387 Broadway - Lemon Grove, CA 91945), beginning at 4:30 pm with Rosary at 6:30 pm. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am January 27, 2016 at Santa Sophia Church, Spring Valley. Burial will follow the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
