

Pearlie Mae Chase was born January 9, 1941 in Somerville, Texas. She was the youngest of ten children born to Charlie and Elizabeth Brydson. Pearlie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a young age. After graduating high school Pearlie moved to San Diego, California joining her sister Ida Bell Haynes and her brother-in-law Robert Haynes. She would go on to attend a local college, majoring in Child Development which prepared her for a rewarding 30 year career as a Preschool Educator.
In 1962, Pearlie married Ralph Adolph Green of the United States Navy. Their union was blessed with daughters Yulundia Baker and Kim Regina Guy. Following the death of her first husband Ralph Adolph Green, Pearlie would go on to marry Charles A. Chase of the United States Navy.
Pearlie was a fun, loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She truly loved her family unconditionally and in turn she was dearly loved. She enjoyed bowling, sports and entertaining friends and family in her home. Pearlies loving and caring nature will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Ralph Adolph Green and Charles A. Chase, both of her parents, three brothers, Elijah, Martin and James C.; five sisters, Rosie, Bessie Mae, Katie Mae, Ida Bell, Julie Mae.
On Saturday, January 14, 2017, Pearlie Mae Chase was called from labor to eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory sister Ora Bell Gentry of College Station, TX; daughters, Yulundia Baker of Chester, PA; Kim Regina Guy of Los Angeles,CA; Grandchildren, Romero Baker of Chester, PA; Adolph Baker of Firestone, CO; Stuart H. Guy of Seattle, WA; La Tisha Baker of Upper Marlboro, MD; Akeem Bell of Dover, DE and Reuben Guy of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends who will mourn her passing yet celebrate her life.
