Ursula Garcia Hartman
Ursula entered this life on August 17, 1963, at 3:15 p.m. in San Diego, California to Maria S. Garcia and Horacio Garcia and she was received into God’s kingdom on September 28, 2018.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, John David Hartman, who she was married to for 20 years. Ursula and John raised three beautiful children, Christina Amber Hartman, John Clifford Hartman, and Jose Arevalo IV. She is survived by three talented and charming grandchildren, Ariana Dahlia Cervantes, Brooklyn Nevaeh Hartman, and Jazlyn Azurae Price. Ursula will be missed by her sisters, Guadalupe Garcia and Pearla-Mar Konig, who she fondly referred to as “monkeys.” Ursula was survived by niece, Otilia Garcia Shapiro, and one great nephew, Diego de Garcia Shapiro, two great nieces, Ona Maria Shapiro, and Noa Shapiro. Ursula will truly be missed by her family, and friends.
Ursula grew up in San Diego, California. She attended Sweetwater High School where she was involved in art, crafts, Literature and the car clubs of National City. Ursula worked for Fedco as an assistant in the jewelry department. She later attended courses and became an executive assistant at Ericsson Cellular.
Ursula was a kind and giving person. She was known fondly by her family as “mother hen.” She always made certain that the elderly parishioners were attended to at church and community events. She always made herself available in order to help family and friends during times of need.
Ursula’s Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Lemon Grove Lutheran Church 2055 Skyline Drive Lemon Grove, California 91945. After the church services, refreshments and a continued celebration will follow at the same location.
The Hartman and Garcia families wish to thank family, friends, and the community for surrounding us in love. It is through your love and support that we are able to carry on and find peace in Christ’s love.
