Howard was born September 28th 1965 in San Diego CA. Number 5 of 7 children to Wyatt and Geraldine. As a young child, Howard stole the heart of everyone he met. He had a special bond with animals and nature. Howard never married nor had children of his own, but his greatest love was his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He encouraged them to live their dreams and taught them there was nothing they couldn’t do.
Howard had two other loves in his life…. The San Diego Chargers and Fishing! He had been a Chargers season ticket holder since 2006. Sundays during the season he was at the home games tailgating in H3 with all his buddies. He brought enough food to feed an army and we aren’t talking burgers and dogs….. Howard made gourmet meals that would put Gordon Ramsey to shame! The generous man he was he always had friends or family along for the day to share his love of the game, win or lose!
Howard’s buddy Tim got him into Bass fishing several years ago. They enjoyed the sport together for many years. When he lost Tim, Howard continued to frequent the same fishing spots to honor his dear friend. He continued to share this love of fishing with family and friends.
When his father died in 2013, it hit Howard quite hard and he decided it was time to change his lifestyle. He entered into a fitness program with great success. Always with a supportive, non-judgmental attitude, Howard encouraged everyone around him to make healthy choices. He rarely boasted of his own accomplishments but always celebrated everyone else’s, no matter how small.
All that Howard had, he shared. Howard was the best of us all, in every way! Loved by all that met him because of his humble, caring, loving ways. Always with a smile.
We celebrate the life of Howard, a life that was much too short.
May you Rest in Heaven Forever
