Mr. Allie Lewis, 87, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lewis was born January 8, 1935 in Watauga County to the late Walter and Rosie Watson Lewis.
Mr. Lewis was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He worked for Thomasville Furniture as a Splicer Operator for 46 years. He truly enjoyed going to nursing homes, churches and other facilities singing Christian music. He also sang at the Mast General Store.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 69 years, Gladys Miller Lewis of the home, a son, Randy Lewis and wife Diane of Lenoir, a granddaughter, Laura Lewis of Lenoir and a brother, Coleman Oliver of Boone.
A funeral service for Mr. Lewis will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. J. R. Robbins and Rev. Barry Greer officiating. A private burial will take place at Robbins Family Cemetery in Buffalo Cove.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
