

Mrs. Moore was born April 12, 1959 in McDowell County to Martha Hemphill Tate of Marion and the late Frank Gilbert Tate.
Mrs. Moore was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and aunt. She worked as a seamstress in the furniture industry in the Lenoir area for many years and was a faithful member of the First Church of God in Lenoir. Anita enjoyed reading, watching movies and traveling. She also enjoyed cooking for her beloved family.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Moore and her sister; Deborah Hemphill.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Martha Hemphill Tate of Marion, a son; Ashley Moore of Lenoir, a daughter; Ginnefver Moore of Lawrenceville, Georgia, her grandchildren, Jalen and Mariah Moore, stepchildren; Malik Moore of Asheville, Jakisha Moore of Winston Salem, sisters; Gloria Carson of Marion and Valerie Moore of Lenoir.
A Funeral Service to honor Mrs. Moore will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 12:00 pm the First Church of God in Lenoir with Reverend Jerome Pearson officiating.
Burial will follow the service at the Corpening Cemetery in Lenoir.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mrs. Moore’s nephews.
