Anthony Douglas Canter

Mr. Canter was born in Caldwell County to the late Odell A. Canter and Helen Miladeen Watson Shoemake. He was a proud veteran of the US Marines, and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his brother Alan D. Canter, of Hickory; his sisters, Darlene Clark and husband Rick of Lenoir, Donna McCall and husband Tommy of Hudson and Sandra “Sam” Millwood of Lincolnton.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Clark, Bradley Triplett, Brandon Triplett, Greg Canter, Steven Killian and Christopher Watson. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Hall, Seth Critcher, Cody Watson, Dustin Clark and Dalton Clark.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
