Archie R Simpson

Archie R. Simpson, 88, of Lenoir passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at College Pines.

Mr. Simpson was born in Wilkes County to the late Gilmer Simpson and Anna Lee Morrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Simpson and a sister, Pansy Foster. He was retired from Broyhill Furniture where he worked for thirty years. Mr. Simpson was a member of Covenant Baptist Church for thirteen years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Virginia Williams Simpson of the home; his daughter, Allene Simpson Bryant and husband Richard of Lenoir; a brother, Ralph Simpson of Wilkesboro; granddaughter, Tonya Bryant Young and husband Steve of Mocksville and great grandchildren, Montgomery Randle Young and Mackenzie Allene Young.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Covenant Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend David Beane officiating and Mr. Terry Kale speaking. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The men of the church will serve as pallbearers.
