Berdine Audrey Davenport

Mrs. Davenport was born in West Moreland, PA to the late Orville Wilkenson and Anna Lorraine Miller Wilkenson. She was retired from General Electric Company. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and treasured time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ward Davenport; a daughter, Janice Cornett; a brother, Buddy Wilkenson; sisters, Verla Farr, Doris Clawson and Dulcie Hitchcock.

Survivors include her husband, Albert William Clawson of the home; her daughters, Wanda Greer and husband Michael of Granite Falls, and Audrey Frazier and husband Roger of Granite Falls; son-in-law, Gary Cornett of Hickory; sisters, Eva Taylor and Kay Guidace, both of PA; grandchildren, Christopher and Kevin Cornett, Erica Greer, Cameron Frazier, Alexis Greer and Caroline Frazier; four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Pendry’s Chapel with Reverend Marvin Ford officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Cornett, Kevin Cornett, Christopher Cornett, Cameron Frazier, Douglas Cannon, Bill Clawson, Roger Frazier and Michael Greer
