Bessie Hart

Bessie W. Hart, 87, of 2615 Piper Place of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Valdese General Hospital.

She was a wonderful, special, loving, giving mama, grandmother, and great, great grandmother. She will be missed greatly by all that knew and loved her. Her desire in life was giving to those in need and she gave all that she had. Her life was a simple life of trying to live for her Lord and being faithful to her church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie E. Hart; her parents, Reese and Tessie Winebarger; her brothers, John, Walter, Chester, Howard, Bynum, Ambrose and Thyman Winebarger; and two sisters, Ellie Sanders and Carrie Cardwell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Margaret Gragg and husband Ken of Gamewell and Ruth Walker of Gamewell; her grandchildren, Kim Laney Walker, Amy Ward, Marty Walker, Kenneth Hartley, and Kelly Chatham of Lenoir; her great-grandchildren, Kasey Clark, Nick Clark, MacKenzie Hartley, Joel Walker, Jaylon Walker, Justin Walker, William Brookshire, Dillon Laney, Dale Laney Jr., Amanda Herald, Jamie Crisp, Josh Crisp, and Devan Keener; a great-great-grandson Ethan Brookshire; a sister, Opal Woodie and Husband Dayton of Pulear, NC; and a brother, Glenn Winebarger and wife Helen of Lenoir, NC.

Services for Mrs. Hart will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Miller officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family of Mrs. Hart will receive friends on Monday, February 17, 2013 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Pendry’s Funeral Home and Crematory.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Kenny Hartley, Kasey and Nick Clark, Marty, Joel, and Jaylon Walker. Serving as honorary Pallbearers will be Dillon Laney and Joshua Crisp.
