Mrs. Teeters was born August 24, 1925 in Caldwell County to the late Walter Lewis Arney and Bertie Harwell Arney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, JD Teeters, six sisters, Mozelle Clark, Josephine Russell, Mildred Tuttle, Eva Puett, Edna McClured and Ann Thompson.
Better known at “Tootie”, she was a devoted wife and mother. She took great pleasure in caring for her family, and loved cooking for them. She retired from Holiday Hosiery in Hudson and worked for M&M Florist in Rutherford College. She loved to bowl, and enjoyed flowers. She was a lifelong member of Colliers United Methodist Church in Lenoir.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Joey Teeters and wife Linda of Lenoir.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Colliers United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lenoir at 10:00 am with Rev Adam Love officiating.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Colliers United Methodist Church at 2625 Clarks Chapel Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
