Born on August 8, 1964, in Burke County, North Carolina, Bobby was the son of the late Bobby Harrison Mosteller and the late Gladys VanHorn Mosteller.
Bobby was a devoted and loving husband, father, and son whose greatest joy in life was his family. His love for his wife, Christy, and daughter, Alyson, was immeasurable. They were the center of his world, and nothing meant more to him than the time they shared together. Whether enjoying the simple moments of everyday life or making treasured memories on their many family camping trips, Bobby cherished every opportunity to be with those he loved most. Those special times will forever hold a place in their hearts.
Bobby had a kind and gentle spirit, a friendly nature, and a smile that could brighten anyone's day. Even during difficult times, when he wasn't feeling his "Marvelous" best, he continued to greet others with warmth, kindness, and a positive attitude. He had a way of making people feel welcome and appreciated, and his caring heart touched the lives of many.
A man of strong Christian faith, Bobby was a faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, where he proudly served as a Deacon. His love for the Lord was reflected in the way he lived his life, through his kindness, his dedication to others, and his willingness to lend a helping hand.
Bobby was also known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and dedication. He spent eighteen years working for Harris Teeter in its Lenoir and Hickory stores before beginning a thirteen-year career with Coca-Cola. Throughout his working years, he earned the respect and friendship of those around him.
Bobby enjoyed serving on the Town Of Sawmills Town Council, serving his community and graduated from South Caldwell High School in 1982.
Although his earthly journey has come to an end, the love Bobby gave so freely, the memories he created, and the example he set will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, especially by his beloved wife, Christy, and his cherished daughter, Alyson. While their hearts are heavy with sorrow, they find comfort in knowing that Bobby is now resting peacefully in the arms of his Lord and Savior.
Those left to cherish Bobby's memory include his beloved wife, Christy Keller Mosteller, of the home; his daughter, Alyson Mosteller Dison, and her husband, Caleb, of Taylorsville; and his three sisters, Neda Campbell, Deana Greene and her husband, Darrell, and Alisa Bumgarner, all of Lenoir, his special friends, Kenneth (Paw) and Rachel (Maw) Stallings of Hudson and Linda Austin of Hudson.
