Brenda Kay Lavin, age 61, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Brenda was born on November 2, 1963 to the late Jerry Lee Hanson and Mary Lee Hanson (Watson) in Caldwell County, N.C.
Those remaining behind to cherish her memory are her husband Roy, her fraternal twin sister Linda Faye Sumpter (Robert), and son Jessie Lee Hanson and daughter Kelly Parson.
Brenda loved and enjoyed walking with her twin sister Linda who she loved very much and venturing out to eat as well as shop on occasion. She also enjoyed visiting people in the the Lenoir Soup Kitchen to befriend and encourage them. Brenda was a kind hearted and compassionate person. She will be missed by her family and friends but especially her sister Linda.
