

He was born on April 1, 1948, in Santiago, Chile, to Rosalia and Arturo Silva.
He’s preceded in death by his mother, Rosalia Silva, father, Arturo Silva and brother, Hugo R. Silva. He’s survived by his sisters, Cecilia Silva Cornejo, Rosa Silva Cornejo, Victoria Silva Cornejo and Isabel Silva Cornejo.
Carlos came to the United States in 1971 in search of the American dream. He was able to accomplish this dream by bringing his unique skills in the dental industry and starting his own small business by opening and owning a dental lab for more than 45 years. He was very proud and passionate about his craft which brought him much happiness and satisfaction.
Carlos enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, loved watching soccer, salsa dancing and spending time with his family. He was always excited to cook and grill out for family and friends.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Georgia Silva, of Hudson, NC and daughter Carla Dodenhoff and husband Bobby Dodenhoff, son Marco Silva and wife Caroline Silva.
The loving father of 2 also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Kaytlin Dodenhoff, Anna Earp, husband Cleveland Earp, Khloe Silva, Sean Silva and great grandson Carter Earp and a large extended family.
A private celebration of life will be held by family and friends at a later date.
To say he will be missed is an understatement.
