

Mr. Crisp was born in Caldwell County to the late John Sherman Crisp and Mrs. Martha Philyaw Crisp. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; Joseph Crisp, Morris Crips, Forrest Crisp, and John Vernon crisp, three sisters; Lucille Crisp, Jewell Stillwell, Doris Bradshaw, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Crisp leaves behind a sister Laverl Hayes of Collettesville and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
Mr. Crisp was retired from the United States Air Force and was a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral Services for Mr. Crisp will be Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Rocky Springs Baptist Church in Collettsville with the Rev. Joe Greer officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at the Crisp Family Cemetery. The family of Mr. Crisp will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church.
Serving as pallbearers for Mr. Crisp’s service are Hunter Dillard, Brian Dillard, Jeffrey Marley, Kevin Sesco, Ethan Sesco, and Jeremy Binge. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Caleb Dillard and Clifford Crisp.
The family of Mr. Crisp requests that memorials be sent to Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care 902 Kirkwood Ave. Lenoir NC, 28645.
