He was born December 03, 1936 to the late Wiley Hall and Georgia Honeycutt.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Robert Hall Jr.; grandson, Stephen Joseph Effler; brothers, McKinley Hall, James Hall, Billy Hall of Lenoir, Robert Hall of Indiana, Roy Hall, Lonnie Hall of Virginia; sisters, Marie Holloway of Ohio, Ethel White of Lenoir and Edna Hall of Virginia.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 65 years, Phyllis Jewel Hall; daughters, Glenda (Dennis) Hollar of Hudson, Connie Lee (Wendell Leon) Woody of Lenoir, Mary Ann (Jason) Laws of Boomer, Rebecca Jean (Butch) Effler of Lenoir; grandchildren, Jonathan (Betsy) Hollar, Kristi (Kevin) Clement, Darrell (Jamie) Laws, Michael (Ashli) Hollar, Lana (Andrew) Glasco, Christopher (Sonya) Laws, Wendell (Brooklyn) Woody, Ashlyn Miller, Braxton (Monica) Laws, Matthew Effler, Heather (Derrick) Wolfe, Devin Laws, Ethan Laws, Andrew Effler, and twenty-six great grandchildren.
Charles enjoyed fishing, baseball, softball, football, and wood-working. He was such a loving, caring person who was always helping others.
A graveside service to honor Charles Robert Hall will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2:00PM at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir with Rev. Johnny McCarty and Rev. Bill Bentley officiating.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood St. Lenoir NC 28645.
The family also respectfully requests that people stand 6 feet apart and masks are required with no physical contact.
