He was born October 6, 1926 in Watauga County and was the son of the late Arthur Columbus Moody and Rhoda Marticia Estes Moody.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Moody is survived by his wife Eula Moody of the home; son, Glenn Moody of Lenoir; daughter, Aleta Moody of Lenoir; sister, Shirley Henson of Blowing Rock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 2:00PM at Globe Baptist Church with Reverend Roger Cox officiating.
