Clifford Ross Whipkey, age 69, of Lenoir, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Clifford was born on March 13, 1956, to the late Clifford and Geraldine Whipkey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Steve Whipkey and Charlotte Malone.
Left to cherish Clifford's memory are his wife of 46 years, Mary Frances Whipkey, his children: Daniel Perry Haycraft, Jennifer Dawn Hefter, Christine Marie Whipkey, Mitchel Ray Haycraft, Kassandra Lynn Whipkey, and Nicholas Ross Whipkey. And his grandchildren: Nickolas Whipkey, Lillian Whipkey, Carly Whipkey, Samantha Haycraft, Katelynn Hefter, Clair Hefter, Robert Haselton Jr., Destiny Whipkey, Breanna Walsh, Austin Walsh, Faith Kalianna. And 5 great-grandchildren.
Clifford valued time with his family above all else. He loved the mountains and was a faithful member of Living Hope Church, where he lived out his love for the Lord.
A receiving of friends and family for Clifford will be held Monday, September 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home, 522 Wilkesboro Blvd SE, Lenoir, NC 28645.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM in Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home's Chapel, officiated by Pastor Gray Williams. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir. Pallbearers will be Mitchel Haycraft, Nicholas Whipkey, Nickolas Whipkey, David Whipkey, Marty Hefter, and Brad Gustafson.
